Frankie and Johnny in the Clair De Lune review: Romance loses spark

You might have encountered Terrence McNally's Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune through the 1991 film adaptation, from Pretty Woman director Garry Marshall. The movie gave the quiet two-hander an extreme makeover, glamming it up into a Hollywood rom-com starring Al Pacino and Michelle Pfeiffer, and adding a large supporting cast and more overt humour.
