David Mamet Drama China Doll, Starring Al Pacino, Opens on Broadway

Tony, Emmy and Oscar-winning actor Al Pacino returns to Broadway in David Mamet 's new drama China Doll , officially opening Dec. 4. The two-character play from the Pulitzer Prize-winning author of Glengarry Glen Ross follows a billionaire named Mickey Ross, who has just bought an airplane for his young fiance as he prepares to go into semi-retirement. Al Pacino’s Broadway Opening In David Mamet’s ‘China Doll’ Delayed Two Weeks

The producers of David Mamet 's new play China Doll , starring Al Pacino , have moved the opening back two weeks, to December 4th from November 19th. That means that for two additional weeks, including the lucrative Thanksgiving holiday weekend when tourists buy out tickets to almost anything on Broadway, China Doll will continue to command post-opening prices as high as $550 per ticket in the secondary market without having been reviewed or given an official press opening.
